PM said that haze is not a new problem for Singapore but this episode is more serious than in recent years. Wind and weather conditions are expected to stay the same over the next few days, and hence the haze will persist.
PM will be writing to Indonesian President Yudhoyono to register Singapore’s serious concerns and reiterate our offer to help.
